Cause
Causes are mainly in 2 locations; the Hopper Drive assembly and the Bottle Cam.
- Cause 1
When the Operator Lever [2] is turned for attaching and detaching the Toner Bottle, the movement is
transferred to the Toner Bottle through 26T/ 48T Bevel Gear [3] and 32T Gear [4]. However, when an
unexpectedly strong force is added on the Operator Lever [2], the teeth of the Gears may break. Thus when
the Operator Lever [2] is forcibly turned while the Gear has been damaged, the operating force is not
properly transferred, which also causes breakage of the Operator Lever [2].
- Cause 2
Because of the accuracy issue of the Bottle Cam [2] which holds the Toner Bottle [1], the Toner Bottle was
unable to be mounded as the position was incorrect when it was inserted into the Toner Supply Port [a]. The
photo [A] shows the state that the Toner Bottle is set whereas photo [B] shows the state that the Toner Bottle
is removed.
