Paper skew or the right door may open involuntarity due to the half-locked right door

Symptom
In the machines having serial numbers ealier than below, paper may skew or the right door [1] may open
involuntarily while printing.

Cause
When the right door [1] is opened, the right door [1] tilts downward because the right door hinge [2] holding
the right door [1] has some play, and the right door pin [3] attached to the right door [1] is lowered. Therefore,
if the right door [1] is closed in this state, the right door pin [3] comes in contact with the lower surface of the
hole [a] at the right door hook [4] and rubs against each other. The frictional force generated by this rub
holds the right door [1] shut before the lock mechanism of the right door [1] works. (This state is referred to
as "half-locked".) If making prints while the right door [1] is half-locked, paper skews because of the
imbalance of the feed pressure to paper from the faulty position of the right door [1]. Also the right door [1]
opens involuntarily due to vibration or impacts to the main body as the right door [1] is not locked.
