6.2.2 Lap belts

6.2.2.1 Two-point lap belt with metal buckle, padded

Mounting the 2-point lap belt
1) Close the belt buckle and pull out the belt (see fig. 21, no. 1).
INFORMATION: Make sure not to push the plastic part beyond the guide in the metal part.
2) Pull the plastic loop off the belt (see fig. 21, no. 2).
3) Pull a belt pad (see fig. 20, no. 3) off the belt. The belt is now ready for mounting (see fig. 22).
4) Place the belt on the seat. Take the end of the belt (see fig. 23, no. 1) and thread it between the seat bottom
and hip support to the outside of the seat (see fig. 23, no. 2).
5) Thread the end of the belt through the large bore holes in the base frame (see fig. 23, no. 3; see fig. 24, no. 1).
6) Thread the end of the belt to the front between the seat bottom and hip support (see fig. 24, no. 2).
7) Slide the plastic loop (see fig. 20, no. 2) and the belt pad (see fig. 20, no. 3) onto the belt.
8) Pull the end of the belt through the buckle (see fig. 21, no. 1).
→ If the buckle (see fig. 20, no. 4) can be closed when it lies in the centre of the seat, the lap belt has been moun­
ted properly.
