6.15 Foam wedges for individual seating positions
The foam wedges can be used for individual fine adjustment of the seat bottom according to the therapist's spe
cifications (see fig. 73). This makes it possible to form a sloped seat, e. g. to support the ischial tuberosity.
The foam wedges are attached to the seat bottom and one another:
1) Remove the seat pad from the seating unit.
2) Cut the foam wedges to size if necessary.
3) Affix the self-adhesive hook-and-loop strap to the foam wedges.
4) Attach the first foam wedge to the seat plate.
5) Attach the other foam wedges to one another using the affixed hook-and-loop strap (see fig. 75). Make sure
that a hook-and-loop strap is affixed to the top side of the uppermost foam wedge for attaching the seat pad.
6) Reattach the seat pad to the hook-and-loop fastener.
