4.3 Storage

Store the product in a dry, enclosed room with sufficient air circulation and protection from external influences.
Specific information about storage conditions: see Page 40.
Maintain sufficient clearance from sources of heat.
Direct exposure to sunlight or UV radiation causes materials to harden and the product to age more quickly. When
storing the product, do not expose it to direct sunlight or UV light.

5 Preparing the product for use

5.1 Assembly

► When folding out the backrest, only grip by the specified components.

5.1.1 Attaching the seating unit

CAUTION
Incorrect adjustment of the tilt-limiter on the outdoor mobility base
User falls out due to user error
► Before mounting the seating unit on the outdoor mobility base, adjust the tilt-limiter as appropriate for the dir­
ection in which the seating unit will face.
► The tilt-limiter is adjusted on the outdoor mobility base. For information on adjusting the tilt-limiter, see the
instructions for use for the outdoor mobility base.
CAUTION
Failure to secure the seating unit when attaching it
User falling, tipping or falling out of the seating unit due to it not being secured or parts coming loose
► Before attaching and removing the seating unit and before the user gets in or out, always engage the wheel
lock on the mobility base. Verify the braking function.
► When attaching the seating unit, always make sure it engages audibly in the mobility base.
► Secure the seating unit using the seat lock.
NOTICE
Unfolded lateral support pads when attaching, detaching or adjusting the seating unit
Damage to the covers due to excessive wear
► When detaching, attaching or adjusting the product, fold the lateral support pads inwards so that they do not
come into contact with the mobility base.
a) Determining the direction of the seating unit
The seating unit can be mounted on the mobility base in 2 directions:
In the direction of travel (see fig. 1, example for outdoor mobility base)
Opposite to the direction of travel (see fig. 2, example for outdoor mobility base)
