Access Point Features

Network Layer

The Network Layer feature provides information on IP ARP and ICMP Statistics.
IP ARP Features
Physical Address: Represents the Ethernet address associated with a desired IP address.
Net Address: Represents the IP address corresponding to an Ethernet address.
Media Type: Represents the type of mapping, that is, dynamic or static.
ICMP Statistics Features
In Msgs: The total number of ICMP messages which the entity received. It includes all those counted by the
icmpInErrors.
In Errors: The number of ICMP messages which the entity received but determined as having ICMP-specific errors
(Bad ICMP checksums, bad length and so on).
In Dest Unreachs: The number of ICMP Destination Unreachable messages received.
In Time Excds: The number of ICMP Time Exceeded messages received.
In Parm Probs: The number of ICMP Parameter Problem messages received.
In Src Quenchs: The number of ICMP Source Quench messages received.
In Redirects: The number of ICMP Redirect messages received.
In Echos: The number of ICMP Echo (request) messages received.
In EchoReps: The number of ICMP Echo Reply messages received.
InTimestamps: The number of ICMP Timestamp (request) messages received.
In Timestamp Reps: The number of ICMP Timestamp Reply messages received.
In Addr Masks: The number of ICMP Address Mask Request messages received.
In Addr Mask Reps: The number of ICMP Address Mask Reply messages received.
Out Msgs: The total number of ICMP messages which this entity attempted to send. It includes all those counted by
icmpOutErrors.
Out Errors: The number of ICMP messages which this entity did not send due to problems discovered within ICMP
such as a lack of buffers. This value should not include errors discovered outside the ICMP layer such as the inability
of IP to route the resultant datagram. In some implementations, there may be no types of error which contribute to this
counter's value.
Out Dest Unreachs: The number of ICMP Destination Unreachable messages sent.
Out Time Excds: The number of ICMP Time Exceeded messages sent.
Out Parm Probs: The number of ICMP Parameter Problem messages sent.
Out Src Quenchs: The number of ICMP Source Quench messages sent.
Out Redirects: The number of ICMP Redirect messages sent. For a host, this object will always be zero, since hosts
do not send redirects.
Out Echos: The number of ICMP Echo (request) messages sent.
Out EchoReps: The number of ICMP Echo Reply messages sent.
Out Timestamps: The number of ICMP Timestamp (request) messages sent.
Out Timestamp Reps: The number of ICMP Timestamp Reply messages sent.
Out Addr Masks: The number of ICMP Address Mask Request messages sent.
Out Addr Mask Reps: The number of ICMP Address Mask Reply messages sent.
