Basic Configuration for an Enterprise

Finding and Assigning the Access Point's IP Address

1. If your Access Point receives an IP address from the DHCP server on the network, then use the ScanTool to find its IP
address.
2. To set the IP address, navigate to Configuration > IP Configuration in the web interface. The Network IP
Configuration page appears.
Select the Address Type as either Static or Dynamic.
You must assign unique IP Address for your device that is valid on your IP subnet; this is based on the type of
address that you have selected.
NOTE: Contact your network administrator if you need assistance in selecting an IP address for the unit.
Also provide your network's Subnet Mask, and Gateway IP address.
NOTE: If you enter the Gateway IP Address, then it mandatory that you must enter the Subnet Mask.
Click OK.
Click Commit and then Reboot for the changes to take effect.

Configuring the System Name and the Country Code

To configure the System Name and the Country Code,
1. Navigate to Management > System > Information in the web interface. The System Information page appears.
2. Enter the following parameters:
System Name
Location
Select the Country Code using the drop-down box. It contains a list of countries in which the AP will be used.
Setting the country makes the AP automatically compliant with the rules of the regulatory domain in which it is
used by configuring the allowed Frequency Bands, Channels, Dynamic Frequency Selection Status, Transmit
Power Control status, and Power Levels.
NOTE: The country code selection process is valid only for WD mode devices. For US and JP devices, country
code selection is not available.
Click Ok.

Configuring the Wireless Information

To configure Wireless information,
1. Navigate to Configuration > Wireless > Interface 1 > VAP. The Wireless Interface page appears.
NOTE: By default both the interfaces (Interface 1 and Interface 2) are active. If you want, you can change the default
values for a single interface.
2. Click on the VAP index for which you want to make the changes and click Edit. The Wireless Interface/VAP page
appears.
3. Configure the following parameters:
Enter the VAP SSID Name (Wireless Network name).
Select the Security Profile Name.
Select Radius Profile Name.
4. Click OK.
