Hardware Overview

AP-8000 contains dual 802.11a/b/g/n radios that can operate independently on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. It contains 6
antennas, 3 for each radio.
The following figure gives you a labelled diagrammatic representation of AP-8000.
Given below is a detailed description about the various parts of the AP-8000 device.

LED Indicators

The top panel of the AP-8000 contains 4 LED indicators.

Antennas

AP-8000 supports 3x3 MIMO antennas, with 3 antennas for each radio. This device has been designed to operate with
omni-directional antennas, having the maximum gain of 2.5 dBi. These antennas have standard connectors and can be

Indicator - Symbol
The Power LED indicates whether the device is switched on/off.
The Ethernet LED signals Ethernet traffic on the wired Ethernet
LAN.
The Wireless Interface (Radio)1 LED provides the status and the
speed on the wired Ethernet LAN.
The Wireless Interface (Radio)2 LED provides the status of the
wireless radio.
