Installing the System
It is mandatory that all unused rear slots are filled with blank filler panels and all unused front slots
be filled with air management blades. Empty power supply slots and CMM slots should be covered
with 3U filler panels. These are needed to ensure proper chassis cooling and to maintain
compliance with mandatory U.S. and international electromagnetic regulatory standards.
Ensure the blank filler panels and air management blades include EMI gaskets and are compatible
with CompactPCI* industry standard. See the Intel
Compatibility Report for a list of compatible blank filler panels and air management blades.
Warning:
Failure to cover open slots could cause overheating of power supplies, boards, or other
components, and could damage the system.
