Grounding the SRX110 Services Gateway

Chapter 14: Connecting, Grounding, and Powering On the SRX110 Services Gateway
transmit data. You must configure each network interface before it can operate on the
device.
To connect and organize an interface cable for the device:
Have ready a length of the type of cable used by the interface.

Insert the cable connector into the cable connector port on the interface faceplate.

Arrange network cables as follows to prevent them from dislodging or developing

Secure cables so that they are not supporting their own weight as they hang to the
floor.
Place excess cable out of the way in neatly coiled loops.
Use fasteners to maintain the shape of cable loops.

To meet safety and electromagnetic interference (EMI) requirements and to ensure
proper operation, you must adequately ground the SRX110 Services Gateway before
connecting power.
Figure 27 on page 103
illustrates connecting a grounding cable to the services gateway.

To ground the device, connect a grounding cable to earth ground and then attach it to
the chassis grounding points, using one M3 screw.
