Change the Sensor Assignment (Thermocouple)

The Thermocouple Assignment lets the operator assign a thermocouple from a different
zone to control the heater of the selected zone. This is important in a condition when there
could be mis-wired thermocouples or heaters in the mold.
For example, heater number 1 may be connected to thermocouple 5 and heater number 5
may be connected to thermocouple number 1. In this example, the operator can manually
switch the thermocouple inputs. Change the number in the Thermocouple Assignment field
to the applicable number.
NOTE:
To change the sensor assignment for a zone, do the steps that follow:
1.
2.
3.
4.
You also have the option to select No Sensor or Match Zone. When No Sensor is selected, the
system does not use the feedback from the thermocouple to control the zone. Select Match
Zone to easily match a zone with a sensor of the same number. It is typical to use the same
sensor number assignment with a zone. For example, Zone 1 uses Sensor 1, Zone 2 uses
Sensor 2, and the same match for other zones and sensors in the system.

7.6.10 Change the Priority Control Mode

If there is a malfunction during the heat/injection operation, the software will make every
attempt to bypass the problem. If this is not possible, the system will start a shutdown
sequence. You can select how the shutdown occurs.
In the case of an Abort condition, if the Priority Control Mode (PCM) is set to Zone mode, the
controller stops the power output to the defective zone and continues to operate all other
zones as usual. If the PCM is set to System mode, the controller will shutdown all power
output to the mold (if the failure occurs on this zone). The PCM is zone selectable, so one zone
may only change itself to OFF, while a different zone could shutdown the mold. The PCM is
