Pull the bottom left of the battery door towards you to open (Fig. 12-3).

Hold the grip on the battery in your right hand, and press the battery lock with your thumb
(Fig. 12-4).

Pull the battery out towards you as you release your thumb from the lock (Fig. 12-5).
■ Be careful not to let your thumb get caught.
