Comments
The 19" mounting brackets (C849011804) must be
ordered separately and are required to install the
Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-60 in a 19" bayframe.
If the Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-60 shelf is to be
installed above or below existing equipment that does
not have a heat baffle, then a heat baffle (C
848862181) must be installed between the shelf and
the existing equipment. If there is space left in the
bayframe above the last Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-60
shelf installed a heat baffle must be installed above the
shelf to prevent accidental damage to the power cables
at the top of the shelf.
A screwdriver(s) with the appropriate head(s) is (are)
required for securing the mounting screws,
repositioning the mounting brackets, installing the
interfacing cables, and for setting the circuit breakers
to the OFF position.
The crimping tool and wire stripper are only required
if installing DS3 cables. The replacement cassette is
for the wire stripper tool.
The wire-wrap gun is required for terminating DS1
cable and must be able to accommodate 24 gauge
wire.
A wrist strap must be worn when handling circuit
packs. Use the electrostatic discharge (ESD) jack
provided on the shelf.
A torque wrench (50-250 IN-LBS) is used when
Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-60
tightening the
the frame. It is also used when reattaching the
mounting brackets to the
TSS-60
shelf.
