Cable routing for electrical PTMs

This procedure describes how to route electrical PTMs comcode 109565549 cables in a

Alcatel-Lucent 1850 TSS-60 shelf.

Insert the PTM module in ports 1 through 4 of the LNW70 card.

If fiber PTMs are used they will occupy ports 5 through 8.

Connect the RJ-45 connectors to ports 1 through 4.

Route the CAT-5 cable in a manner so that two cables connect through the LNW70 slot

opening and two are routed into the protection slot opening. See

The latch automatically catches when the

module is inserted. The module is secure.

Type 3

Move the latch to the right (towards the gold

fingers) to close the latch The Module is

fingers) to close the latch. The module is

secure. Refer to
