LNW70 and LNW170 (GigE/FE)

Follow this procedure only if installing LNW70 circuit packs into the Alcatel-Lucent 1850

TSS-60 shelf.

Note:

gigE and FE. When inserting them into ports, provision the card appropriately.

Refer to the engineering job specification. Identify the proper function group slot (D1 or

G1) where the LNW70 or LNW170 circuit pack will be installed.

Note:

unless the LNW141 or LNW84 VLF main OLIU is used. Regardless of the main

circuit pack type the LNW170 can be installed into any function slot. See the APG for

allowed combinations.

Remove the LNW70 or LNW170 from the packing material.

Place the circuit pack into the shelf (slot D1 or G1 as required). Do NOT engage the

circuit pack in the backplane connector.

Install a 177D or LNW98 Apparatus Blank into the companion circuit pack slot (D2 or G2

as required).

Important!

to provide proper air flow for cooling.

Repeat

LNW70 or LNW170 circuit packs.

The LNW70 and LNW170 have both electrical and optical PTMs for both

LNW70 circuit pack can only be installed in slot 1 of any function group
