Install PTM (pluggable transmission modules) optics

The LNW37, LNW45, LNW49, LNW62 and LNW55 circuit packs require the installation

of pluggable transmission modules (PTM).

Determine the OLIU circuit pack and socket being equipped with the PTM.

optical ports to maintain cleanliness during storage and/or transportation. It is

recommended that the dust plug be kept in place to maintain cleanliness until the

optical fiber is connected. With proper care and handling, cleaning the pluggable

optics modules should not be necessary.

Check the ports for cleanliness and clean the pluggable optics module if necessary. See
