3.6 Electrical Installation

CAUTION
Carry out wiring work only after the variable frequency drive has
been correctly mounted and secured.
DANGER
Electric shock hazard - risk of injuries!
Carry out wiring work only if the unit is de-energized.
NOTICE
Fire hazard!
Only use cables, circuit-breakers, and contactors that feature
the indicated permissible nominal current value.
NOTICE
On DC1 variable frequency drives, earth leakage currents can be
greater than 3.5 mA (AC).
Accordingly, as per IEC/EN 61800-5-1, an additional protective
conductor must be connected or the protective conductor's
cross-sectional area must be at least 10 mm 2 .
DANGER
The components in the variable frequency drive's power section
remain energized up to five minutes after the supply voltage has
been switched off (intermediate circuit capacitor discharging
time).
Pay attention to hazard warnings!
Complete the following steps with the specified tools and
without using force.
