Editing a file externally
To create or edit an XML file on an external PC with Windows, use a text editor such as
"TextPad". The "TextPad" text editor supports the "UTF-8" encoding required for the XML
file.
Saving the XML file in UTF-8 coding
1. Select the "Save As" dialog box.
2. Set the character set to "UTF-8".
Entering comments in an XML file
If you are entering comments to explain a program, you must keep the following in mind:
● A comment always begins with the sequence: <!--
● A comment ends with the sequence -->

Press the "Paste" softkey.
If a file of the same name already exists, you receive a message. You
can overwrite or rename the file.

Press the "OK" softkey.

To open the selected file in the editor,
Press the "Open" softkey.

Press the "INPUT" key.
- OR -
Double-click the highlighted file.
