The length of a tool is measured with the spindle stationary. However,
if the diameter of the milling cutter to be measured is gerater than the
diameter of the probe, the rotating spindle is measured in the opposite
direction. The tool is then not move over the probe center to center
but with the outside edge of the tool above the center of the probe.
Move the tool until it is positioned over the approximate center of
the measuring surface of the probe (see Section "Straight or
circular path motion").
Press the "Misc." and "Measure tool" softkeys.
