Press foot lifter removal
1. Remove the retaining ring (E4), and then remove the presser foot lifter 1
and 2 washers 2.
2. Pull out the presser lift shaft 3 from the rear of the adjusting plate
assembly, and then remove the retaining ring (E4).

Tension release rod removal
1. Remove the retaining ring (E3), and then remove the tension release rod
