Thread tension gear assembly attachment
1. Place tension disk A 2 and tension disk B 3 onto the thread tension disk
shaft 1 of the thread guard.
2. Place the plain washer (S3) and spring
the thread guard.
*Key point
• Use the plain washer (S3) to hold tension disk A and tension
disk B.
3. Place the washer 6, thread tension plate assembly 7, tension disk washer
8, washer and spring
thread tension disk shaft 1 of the thread guard.
4. Place the thread plate assembly : onto the thread tension disk shaft 1,
and then thread the tension adjusting screw 9 to the thread plate assembly

*Key point
• Compress spring
5. Apply a light covering of EPCON AP(N) 0 to the entire surface of the
calking pin A of the thread guard.
6. Apply a light covering of EPCON AP(N) 0 to the entire rear surface of the
thread tension gear assembly B.
7. Place the thread tension gear assembly B onto the calking pin A of the
thread guard, and then attach the retaining ring (E3).
Apply EPCON AP(N) 0 to the entire surface of the
calking pin of the thread guard (attachment shaft of the
thread tension gear assembly)
Apply EPCON AP(N) 0 to the entire rear surface of the
thread tension gear assembly.
