3. "Charging" LED: The battery is being charged.
4. "Charging" + "Full" LEDs: The battery is being topped up
+
5. LED flashes: Battery is being tested for sulphation.
Battery's internal resistance is being measured.
6. LED flashes: A discharge pulse of up to 80 A is being applied to the
battery once every 30 seconds in order to counteract sulphation deposits
on the lead plates (battery activator mode).
7. "Full" LED: Battery is full and can be disconnected from the charger.
8. "1.5 A" LED: The maximum charging current is 1.5 A. Recommended
for battery capacities from 1.5 Ah to 20 Ah.
9. "3 A" LED: The maximum charging current is 3 A. Recommended for
battery capacities from 20 Ah to 50 Ah.
10. "5 A" LED: The maximum charging current is 5 A. Recommended for
battery capacities from 50 Ah to 80 Ah.
11. "10 A" LED: The maximum charging current is 10 A. Recommended
for battery capacities from 80 Ah to 120 Ah.
12. "6 V" LED: A voltage has been selected for charging a 6 V battery.
13. "12 V" LED: A voltage has been selected for charging a 12 V battery.
Pb
14. "Standard" LED: The battery type for charging a Pb battery (lead
battery) has been selected
Li-Ion
15. "Li-Ion" LED: The battery type "Li-ion" for charging a 12 V lithium-ion
vehicle battery has been selected. The maximum end-of-charge voltage is
14.3 V. Trickle charging is only done once a day.
16. "Winter/AGM" LED: "Winter" ("Cold ambient temperature/ AGM
battery") has been selected. This mode is for optimised charging on cold
winter days (ambient temperature below 5°C) or for the special charging
38
process for lead-fl eece AGM batteries, if an increased charging voltage is
recommended by the battery manufacturer. The end-of-charge voltage is
increased to 14.7 V.
CAN-Bus
17. "CAN bus" LED: LED CAN bus charging mode has been selected.
This mode is intended for charging batteries via the vehicle socket on
motorcycles equipped with a CAN bus system (e.g. most BMW models).
18. "MODE" button: For selecting the charging current: 1.5 A, 3.0 A, 5.0 A or 10 A.
19. "6 V/12 V" button: For selecting 6 V or 12 V battery voltage.
20. "TYPE" button: For selecting the type of battery: standard lead battery,
Li-ion, winter mode/AGM or CAN bus

6.2 | Error indicators

LED: Battery is wrongly connected (reversed polarity).
LED: The battery is faulty.
LED: The charger has detected a high interior temperature, and switched
itself off.
"Error" LED and "Precharge" LED fl ash: A deeply discharged battery has
not been able to reach a voltage above 5 V within 24 hours.
+
"Error" LED and "6 V" LED fl ash: The voltage of a correctly connected 6 V
battery is above 7 V. Either wrong voltage has been selected or battery
with incorrect voltage is connected. Disconnect the charger briefl y from
+
the power socket. This enables yo to re-enter your selections for "MODE",
6 V
"6 V/12 V" and. "TYPE".
"Error" LED and "12 V" LED fl ash: The voltage of a correctly connected
12 V battery is above 14.3 V. Either wrong voltage has been selected or
battery with incorrect voltage is connected. Disconnect the charger briefl y
+
from the power socket. This enables you to re-enter your selections for
12 V
"MODE", "6 V/12 V" and "TYPE".)
LED: A deeply discharged 12 V battery has been detected. It will be gently
