2.12.3. Brake Option (J12)

The Npaq's internal solid state relay is used to automatically control a fail-safe brake on a vertical axis. The
Npaq contains an internal 24V power supply used to energize (release) the brake.
The brake is controlled by an Opto 22 ODC5A module and is routed to one of seven possible connectors
depending on which brake option was ordered.
