There are cases in which error messages appear on the display during operation or error
codes and error messages appear on the PC (controller) when using the communication
function. This section describes the meanings of the messages and their corrective
actions. Contact the dealer from which you purchased the instrument if servicing is
required.
Error codes are shown on the display. If you query the error using the "STATus:
ERRor?" command from the PC through the communication function, the error code and
error message are displayed on the monitor of your PC.
Description and Corrective Action
A syntax error other than the ones listed below was found.
<DATA SEPARATOR> is missing.
Separate each data by a comma ( , ).
The <DATA> type is not correct.
Use the correct data format.
There are too many <DATA>. Check the number of data.
Required <DATA> is missing. Include the required data.
<HEADER SEPARATOR> is missing.
Separate headers and data with a space.
<mnemonic> is too long. Check the mnemonic (a string
consisting of numbers and alphabetical characters).
No such command. Check whether the header is correct.
The value of <HEADER> is not correct.
Check whether the header is correct.
The mantissa of the value is missing.
A mantissa is required before the exponent in the <NRf> form.
The exponent used is too large. Make the exponent after "E"
smaller when using the <NR3> format.
There are too many significant digits.
The value must contain 255 or fewer digits.
Numerical data cannot be used.
Use a data format other than <NRf>.
The units are incorrect.
Check the unit of the <Voltage> and <Time>.
Spelling of units is too long.
Check the unit of the <Voltage> and <Time>.
The units cannot be used. Units other than those for <Voltage>
and <Time> cannot be used.
No such selection available. Select character data from the
selections
Spelling of <CHARACTER DATA> is too long.
