BMC Reset

Press BMC RESET Switch only if a problem occurs in EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 (BMC) or you are requested
by your service representative.
Do not press this switch in usual operation.
Do not turn on/off the server, reboot the system, or perform any switch operation for approximately three minutes
after pressing the BMC Reset switch.
Follow the steps below to reset BMC.
1. Press ID/BMC RESET Switch for at least eight seconds. The ID LED starts flashing.
2. The flashing speed of ID LED becomes slower when you release your finger from ID/BMC RESET Switch.
In that state, press ID/BMC RESET Switch again within four seconds.
3. BMC Reset starts. While BMC is being reset, STATUS LED lights red. Do not operate the server while
STATUS LED lights red.
After resetting BMC, STATUS LED lights green when the server is powered on, or goes off when the
server is off-powered.

Tips
BMC RESET Switch only resets BMC and that does not restart the server.
When BMC is reset, network connection from client to BMC is disconnected.
