Chapter 2 Useful Features
(a) Selecting RAID level
Place a cursor on the "RAID Level" display frame, and press the <Enter> key.
The selectable RAID level is displayed in a list, move a cursor by the arrow key, and press the <Enter> key.
(b) Selecting Physical Device used for creating Virtual Drive
RAID0/1
Move a cursor to "Drives" in the frame on the right side by the arrow key, and select the Physical Device to be
used by the <Enter> key. [X] is displayed when the device is selected. The selectable Physical Device should
have the same specifications.
For the RAID level and the number of the Physical Device to be selected for creating the Virtual Drive, refer to the
correspondence table below.
(c) Virtual Drive capacity / Virtual Drive name entry
When the combination of the RAID level and number of the Physical Device is correct, the maximum value of the
capacity of the Virtual Drive that can be created is automatically displayed. To change the capacity of the Virtual
Drive to be created, move a cursor to "Size", and enter the number.
To set the name of the Virtual Drive, place a cursor on "Name" and enter the name.

Tips
Select the Physical Device so that its number is the same as that of the Physical
Device supported in the RAID level.
The Physical Device used for creating the Virtual Drive has the same
specifications.
