Chapter 2 Useful Features
(c)-1 Operation for RAID controller
You can create the Virtual Drive, clear the configuration information, and clear "Foreign Config".
<1> Create Virtual Drive
Newly creates the Virtual Drive. For details about how to create the Virtual Drive, refer to Chapter 2 (4.1.3 (1).
Create Virtual Drive).
<2> Clear Configuration
Clear RAID configuration.
<3> Foreign Config
When the other RAID configuration information is stored in the newly-connected Physical Device, "Foreign
Config" becomes selectable. Clear for Foreign Config can be performed.
Select "Clear". Clears the RAID configuration information in the newly-connected Physical Device.
Selecting either of them displays a warning message. Select "Yes" for performing.
<4> Manage Preserved Cache
"Manage Preserved Cache" is selectable when Preserved Cache is held.
When you discard Preserved Cache, select "DISCARD CACHE" from the menu. A warning message is
displayed. Select "Yes" for performing.
<5> Drive Security
Unsupported.
<6> Enable Protection / Disable Protection
Unsupported.
<7> Advanced Software Options
Unsupported.
Important
Please note that RAID configuration information is completely cleared when
the Clear Configuration has been performed.
Tips
Clear of "Foreign Config" can be performed also from the "Foreign View" screen.
