Resetting and Clearing the Server

Read this section when the server does not work or when you set BIOS settings back to the factory settings.
7.1

Software Reset

If the server halts before starting the OS, press <Ctrl> + <Delete> + <Alt> keys. This clears all the data in
memory, and restarts the server.
7.2

BMC Reset

Press BMC RESET Switch only if a problem occurs in EXPRESSSCOPE Engine 3 (BMC).
Do not press BMC RESET Switch in usual operation.
To reset the BMC, press BMC RESET Switch at least five seconds. Remote management feature is disabled
for about 2 minutes after resetting.

Note
Make sure that no processing is in progress when you reset the server.
Note
Do not shutdown the system, reboot the system, or perform any switch operation
after pressing the BMC Reset switch for approximately 2 minutes.
Tips
BMC RESET Switch only resets BMC and that does not restart the server.
