Precautions on Using vIO Control Feature

When configuring vIO on this server, the system may halt with a POST error message "Bxxx Expansion ROM
not initialized".
If this error occurs, select a port that is not used for PXE boot from the devices listed below, and specify "none"
for Boot Protocol of that port.

– [N8403-082F] 10GBASE Riser Card (2ch)
– [N8403-083F] 10GBASE Riser Card (2ch, supporting iSCSI)
– [N8403-084F] 10GbE (2ch) Adapter
– [N8403-085F] 10GBASE Adapter (2ch, supporting iSCSI)
– [N8403-049F] 10GBASE Adapter (4ch)
Described below are procedures to change parameter for Boot Protocol to "none".
The screen images and messages in this section are subject to change without notice. Substitute as appropriate
when content has been modified.
1. Power on the server.
2. Press the <Ctrl> + <S> keys when the following message appears on the POST screen.
Configuration Menu will be launched.

Press Ctrl-S to enter Configuration Menu

Press the <Ctrl> key, and then press the <S> key.
If the following screen does not appear, restart the server and press the <Ctrl> + <S>
keys again.
