Problem of OS Operation

[?] Windows operation is unstable
Have you installed the Starter Pack?

→ If the network driver is installed after OS is installed, Windows operation may become unstable.
Install the Starter Pack by referring to the description about how to install the Starter Pack for
each OS in "Installation Guide (Windows)".
[?] After the system is restored from the backup tool, Windows is misbehaving
→ Installing Starter Pack by using EXPRESSBUILDER.
[?] The system time lags
→ In Windows Server 2008, if you do not use the server that adjusts time such as NTP (Network
Time Protocol) Server, the system time may differ from actual time. In this case, use NTP server
or disable Windows Time Service.
[?] Fails to be recognized on network
Is the cable connected properly?

→ Check if the LAN cable is surely connected to the network port. Also make sure that the LAN
cable to use conforms to the network interface standard.
Is BIOS setting correct?

→ You can disable the internal network controller using the BIOS Setup utility. Check the settings
with BIOS setup utility.

Have you completed protocol and services settings?

→ Verity that the network driver for the network controller of the server has been installed. Also
verify that protocol such as TCP/IP or various services have been properly specified.
Are transfer rate settings correct?

→ The onboard LAN controller supports 10 Gbps, and 1 Gbps networks. Switching or setting of
transfer rate can be performed on OS menu. Specify the transfer rate and duplex mode to the
same value as the value specified for HUB.
Note, however, to use Wake On LAN feature, the link speed and the duplex mode must be
specified as "Auto Detect (Auto)".
