Online Target Configuration

In this case the configurator will attempt to connect to the
target using the network parameters set by the user.
If:
• the device is not present in the network, the following
error message will appear
• the type of device selected by the user does not
correspond to that of the connected target, the
following error message will appear
If the device is present in the network and coincides with
the type of device selected by the user, the configurator will
connect up to the target and check whether the HW present
and the functional options on the device are aligned with
those actually present in the configurator.
There are now two possible scenarios:
• HW and functional options of the target aligned with
those of the configurator
• HW and functional options of the target not aligned
with those of the configurator
The next two paragraphs provide more information on these
two scenarios.

9.3.1. HW and functional options of the
target aligned with those of the configurator
If the HW and functional options of the target are aligned
with those of the configurator, the dialog box shown below
will appear
In which the user can:
• send configuration files from GF_eXpress to the target
• acquire configuration files from the target and import
them into GF_eXpress
• disconnect from the target and work offline
When one of the three actions listed above has been
completed, the user can start editing the various sections of
interest in the configurator in order to save them on the PC
or transfer them to the target.
