13.1. System variables

The following tables list all default variable names, grouped
by use. A default variable is a variable already set in the
controller and that can be used to set and know its status.
Type
Indicates the type of variable:
Boolean: logic value (true or false).
Register: numeric value with decimal point, the admis-
sible value interval is specified in the Interval column.
String: alphanumeric character string (a...z, A...Z, _).
Group
Indicates the variable group:
System: internal memory to store system variables.
Ret Reg: non-volatile memory for variables.

Variable name
The default variable name. When the variable name is
repetitive, meaning it follows the same layout only changing
one or two only changing the numeric ID (e.g. the variable
FUNCT_1 has the numeric ID "1" ), it is listed only once in
the table and the variable element is highlighted in script.
Interval
The admitted value interval, for numeric values, or maxi-
mum number of characters, for String variables.
Use
Shows whether the variable can be read (R) or write (W).
Marks instrument power on in reports.
Marks instrument power off in reports.
Disk Full Alarm
No communication cable alarm
NO SD card alarm.
Display of pressing of front function keys 8-9-10. n can take on values
from 1 to 3.
3 variables equivalent to digital inputs (and therefore RO) which become
ON when function keys 8-9-10 are pressed, OFF otherwise (3850 only)
Variables equivalent to digital inputs controlling LEDs 8-9-10. n may
have a value of 1 to 3 (3850 only)
PID setpoint n.
n can take on values from 1 to 16.
Alarm threshold for alarm n for PID pid.
pid can take on values from 1 to 16.
n can take on values from 1 to 4.
Manual command for PID n.
n can take on values from 1 to 16.
PID manual power. Can be set only after having configured the PID in
manual mode
Program status n.
n can take on values from 1 to 8.
The variable can be 0 = ready, 1 = run, 2 = hold, 3 = end.
Start program n. The status switches to RUN (STATUS_n = 1)
