ELECTRICALLY HEATED SYSTEMS
DRIVER THERMISTOR OUT OF RANGE LOW - MHSAPM —
TEST
3 Disconnect the Driver Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Disconnect the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module C2 connector.
Turn ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the Driver Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit from the
MHSAPM connector to the driver heated seat cushion connector harness side.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes → Go To 4
→ Repair the open Driver Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit.
No
4 Disconnect the Driver Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Turn ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the Driver Seat Temp Sensor Input in heated seat cushion
connector to body ground.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms, should be infinite?
Yes → Replace the Driver Seat Cushion/Element as necessary.
→ Go To 5
No
5 Disconnect the Driver Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Disconnect the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module C2 connector.
Turn ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the Driver Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit to
ground.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms?
Yes → Repair the Driver Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit for a
→ Go To 6
No
6 Disconnect the Driver Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Turn ignition off.
Measure the resistance between the Driver Seat Temperature Sensor 5 Volt Supply
circuit and the Driver Seat Temperature Sensor Input circuit in the heated seat
cushion connector, cushion side.
Is the resistance below 10000 (10K) ohms?
Yes → Replace the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module.
→ Replace the Driver Seat Cushion/Element as necessary.
No
7 Disconnect the Driver Heated Seat Cushion 4-way connector.
Disconnect the Memory Heated Seat Adjustable Pedal Module C2 connector.
Turn ignition off.
Measure the resistance of the Driver Seat Temperature Sensor 5 Volt Supply circuit
to ground.
Is the resistance below 1000.0 ohms? Should be infinite.
Yes → Repair the Driver Seat Temperature Sensor 5 Volt Supply for a
→ Go To 8
No
ACTION
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
short to ground.
