AIRBAG
Symptom:

NO RIGHT FRONT IMPACT SENSOR COMMUNICATION

When Monitored and Set Condition:
NO RIGHT FRONT IMPACT SENSOR COMMUNICATION
When Monitored: The ACM continuously communicates with the Right Front Impact
Sensor over the sensor signal circuit. The sensor communication and onboard diagnostics
are powered by the ACM signal.
Set Condition: The code will set, if the ACM and Right Front Sensor do not establish and
maintain valid data communications.
SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO BATTERY
SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND
RIGHT FRONT SENSOR 1 CIRCUITS SHORTED TOGETHER
GROUND CIRCUIT OPEN
SIGNAL CIRCUIT OPEN
ACM, PASSENGER SIDE IMPACT SENSOR
REPAIR IS COMPLETE
STORED CODE OR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
ACTIVE CODE PRESENT
TEST
1
Turn the ignition on.
NOTE: Ensure the battery is fully charged.
NOTE: For the purpose of this test, the AECM and ORC modules will be
referred to as an ACM.
SELECT ACTIVE or STORED DTC:
ACM - ACTIVE DTC
ACM - STORED DTC
NOTE: When reconnecting Airbag system components, the ignition must be
turned off and the battery must be disconnected.
