DOOR AJAR
Symptom:

*LEFT REAR DOOR AJAR CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

LEFT REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR/AJAR SWITCH SHORT TO GROUND
LEFT REAR DOOR AJAR SWITCH SENSE CKT SHORT TO GROUND
BODY CONTROL MODULE
TEST
1 With the DRBIII in Inputs/Outputs, read the LR DOOR AJAR SW state.
Disconnect the Left Rear Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch harness connector.
With the DRBIII in Inputs/Outputs, read the LR DOOR AJAR SW state.
Does the Switch State change from CLOSED to OPEN?
Yes → Replace the Left Rear Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch in accordance
→ Go To 2
No
2 Disconnect the Left Rear Door Lock Motor/Ajar Switch harness connector.
Disconnect the BCM C2 connector.
Using a 12-volt Test Light connected to 12-volts, check the Sense circuit.
Does the Test Light illuminate?
Yes → Repair the Left Rear Door Ajar Switch Sense circuit for a short to
→ Replace the Body Control Module.
No

with the Service Information.
Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
