6.5 Identification and configuration
Open the "Central unit properties" dialog
You can open the dialog window "Central unit properties" as follows:
● Double-click on a module in the configuration table.
● Select the menu option "Object properties" of the context menu (right mouse button).
● In the menu "Options" > "Settings of Modular Safety System ES" under the tab "General
settings", activate the checkbox "Display object properties automatically on insert". The
properties dialog window will then pop up automatically when you drag a module from the
catalog window into the configuration table of the project window.

Properties of interface modules

Description
You can open the dialog window "Properties of interface modules" as follows:
● Double-click on a module in the configuration table.
● Select the menu option "Object properties" of the context menu (right mouse button).
● In the menu "Options" > "Settings of Modular Safety System ES" under the tab "General
settings", activate the checkbox "Display object properties automatically on insert". The
properties dialog window will then pop up automatically when you drag a module from the
catalog window into the configuration table of the project window.
In this dialog window, the following parameters are shown:
● In online mode: The parameters of the uploaded module.
● Editable parameters

The designation of the selected module is displayed here. The field has a gray background
and cannot be changed by the user.
The order number of the selected module is shown here. The field has a gray background and
cannot be changed by the user.
The firmware of the selected module is shown here. The field has a gray background and
cannot be changed by the user.
Here you can specify a user-defined equipment identifier (max. 32 characters) for the selected
module and assign it to inputs and outputs.
The maximum number of available inputs is indicated here.
The maximum number of available outputs is indicated here.
Here you define the program cycle time within a range of 10 to 60 ms in increments of 5 ms.
