10.5 Setting the Address/Addressable Mode

Address Setting
A particular address is assigned to each device connected to the GP-IB interface so
that each device can be recognized by every device. Therefore, an address must be
assigned to this instrument when it is connected to a personal computer.
Address setting range: 0 to 30
The initial value is "1". Initializating the instrument will not result in changing the
address setting.
Talk-only Function
This function only allows the instrument to send data to other devices. If talk-only is
off, the instrument can both send and receive data. In talk-only mode, the instrument
cannot be controlled by the controller.
Terminator
When this instrument is used as a listener
Use "CR+LF", "LF" or "EOI" as the receiving terminator.
When this instrument is used as a talker
The sending terminator is set using the DL command. The initial setting is
"CR+LF+EOI".
Note
It is not possible for this instrument to receive data if the "CR" terminator is sent from the
controller. It is also not possible to set "CR" as the terminator which is to be sent from this
instrument.
