Time synchronization
Time synchronization ensures that all the clocks in a system are set to the same time-of-day.
A master clock distributes the time in a configurable cycle to all other components in the system
that have a clock. The components use this time to set their own clocks.
Value status
The value status is additional binary information in a digital input signal. The value status is
entered in the PII at the same time as the process signal, and provides information on the
validity of the input signal.
