Use of the Distributed I/O Device ET 200iSP in device group I (mining) Category M2
The following conditions must be fulfilled if the ET 200iSP is used in device group I
(underground mining operations and their overground systems) Category M2:

Definition of EMC
Electromagnetic compatibility is the ability of electrical equipment to function satisfactorily in
its electromagnetic environment without influencing this environment.
The ET 200iSP distributed I/O station also meets the requirements of the EMC law of the
European market. This requires that the ET 200iSP distributed I/O system meets the
specifications and directives concerning electrical installation.
