Fault finding and error elimination

6.1.1 Check installation

This section is meant as a checklist to help you inspect your
installation and commissioning steps if an error occurs. You
will find information on fault finding and error elimination, as
well as references to the respective chapters of the two-part
product documentation on the bus node.
Eliminate individual sources of error by running the following
checks in the specified order.
Check the mechanical and electrical installation of the bus

node on the I-port device or the electrical connection box
and the correct earthing of all of the components in-
volved.
Check whether all the required connection lines and con-
•
necting cables are fitted correctly.
Carefully check potentially faulty lines and cables.

Replace any visibly damaged lines and cables.
•
Information relating to installing the bus node can be found in
Part I of the product documentation entitled "Installation and
Interface manual", which is supplied with the bus node.In-
formation for mounting the bus node on the electrical connec-
tion box CAPC-... can be found in the assembly instructions
supplied with the electrical connection box.
