Significance
Diagnostic interface at I/O level, which enables access to the internal data
of the bus node and the connected devices or modules
Industrial PC
I-port is a Festo-specific interface for transmitting communication data
(process data, sensor signals, pilot signals) and supply voltages. The
I-port communication protocol is based on the IO link protocol. The
electrical and mechanical link between bus nodes and I-port device is
standardised.
Comprises the voltage supply for connected devices and outputs,
e.g. I-port devices, electrical analogue or digital outputs, solenoid coils of
valves etc. (load voltage supply
supply for electronics and sensors)
Output
Makes all important fieldbus/network participant parameters accessible
in a standardised manner
Open Device Vendor Association, DeviceNet umbrella organisation
Also referred to as signal voltage; comprises the voltage supply for the
electronics/sensors (power supply
supply for outputs)
Process Data Objects facilitate the fast transmission of process data via
Multicast connection and are transmitted by simple DeviceNet messages
without protocol overhead; PDOs can be transmitted event-controlled,
synchronised with a system cycle or on request; a distinction is drawn
between
"TPDOs" and
Protective Extra-Low Voltage
