5.2.3 Status display X1-/X2-LEDs

1)
X1 or X2
– Internal communication between bus node and I-port device 1 or 2
LED display
Status/significance
– Normal operating status
– Device is correctly connected to the
bus node
LED illuminated
– Operating and load voltage present
green
(in the approved range)
– Connected I-port device reports dia-
gnostics status
– Diagnostics is running and/or dia-
LED flashes
gnostic data are being transferred.
green (1 Hz)
– Undervoltage at system or additional
power supply
– Connection between bus node and
device is OK
– Device is connected correctly to the
bus node, but internal communica-
tion is faulty
LED illuminated
– After commissioning, incorrect device
red
connected (non-I-port-compatible
device recognised)
– Device was removed after initializa-
tion of the bus node
1) Separate accessory with two interfaces for connecting another device is required, e.g.electrical
connection box CAPC-...
2)
Display depends on whether the connected device monitors the load voltage and reports to the
bus node

Status displays of the device-specific LED "X1" and/or "X2" for connected
I-port devices – Part 1

Error handling
2)
Read device diagnostics via fieldbus
communication (if activated via DIL
switches on the bus node)
Eliminate undervoltage
Check connection to
fieldbus/network:
Connecting cable, plug connector,
signal transmission, bus node,
PLC/scanner
Check error counter for overflow
Restart the bus node (switch voltage
on/off )
