5.2.5 I/O-LED status display

IO= I/O status, connection status
LED display Status/significance
– Normal operating status
– Communication with the controller
(PLC) OK
LED illuminated
– Bus node is in operational mode and
green
is controlled by the PLC
– IOs are controlled via the PLC via
fieldbus/network
– Operating status in preparation
– Bus node is in pre-operational mode
– Inputs/outputs (IOs) are in idle state
LED flashes
mode
green (1 Hz)
– Inputs/outputs (IOs) are in fail state
mode
– Typical cause:
LED illuminated
usually an unrecoverable software
red
fault, e.g. no bus voltage
– Inputs/outputs (IOs) are in fail state

– PLC failure or stop

position)
