Switching on

3.2.1 Switching on the power supply

Warning
Prior to switch on: make sure that the requirements for

commissioning have been met. Also observe Sec-
tion 3.1.2, especially regarding the DIL switch setting.
During operation: do not alter the DIL switch setting
•
during operation. This will prevent accidental and un-
controlled movements of the connected actuators and
undefined switching states of the electronics.

Please observe the switching-on instructions in the

manual for your controller.
No specific sequence needs to be followed when switching on
separate voltage supplies. You can connect the voltage sup-
ply to the individual system components, e.g. the host system
and/or the higher-order controller, as well as the operating
and load voltage supply to the field bus system in any order
you wish.
