5.4.2 Short circuit/overload

The table below shows the composition of the diagnostic in-
formation (status byte). Additional information can be found
in the Appendix.
Explanation
I-port device/module reports diagnostics status
– Connected device/module is not compatible with
I-port
– I-port device/module interchanged during opera-
tion
– I/O data length not reached/exceeded
I-port communication error during operation, e.g. if
the I-port device/module was unplugged
Undervoltage in the power supply
I-port device/module reports undervoltage in the load
supply
I-port device/module reports short circuit or overload
Short circuit or overload at I-port
Other faults:
Short circuit or overload monitoring depends on the connec-
ted I-port device: When the I-port device monitors the load
voltage and I-port connection for short circuit and overload,
corresponding error messages are generated and forwarded
to the PLC. On the bus node, the "PS" LED flashes green,
showing a malfunction in the operating and load voltage sup-
ply (
Tab. 5/2).
