Safety symbols
To avoid damage to persons and property, always pay attention to the safety instruc-
tions in these Operating Instructions. The following symbols are used to provide you
with important information:

Warning!
This symbol alerts you to hazards which could cause serious injuries as well as
damage to the instrument if ignored.

Caution!
This symbol alerts you to possible faults which could arise from incorrect ope-
ration. They could cause damage to the instrument if ignored.
Note!
This symbol indicates important items of information.

DC voltage
A terminal at which DC voltage is applied or through which DC flows.

AC voltage
A terminal at which (sine-form) AC voltage is applied or through which AC
flows.

Ground connection
A grounded terminal, which, from the user's point of view, is already grounded
using a ground system.

Protective earth terminal
A terminal which must be grounded before other connections may be set up.
Equipotential connection
/
A connection which must be connected to the grounding system of the equip-
ment. This can be, for example, a potential matching line of a star-shaped
grounding system, depending on national or company practice.

Double insulation
The equipment is protected with double insulation.
