Removal/Installation
Remove the Ignition coil from the frame (see page 7-3).
Remove the white 4P sensor couplers from the GRfGL
coupler holder.
Remove the sensor cover. Remove the two bolts and
remove the sensors.
NOTE: The GR and GL sensors should be handled as a
matched set Install them in pairs.
Install the sensors in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Inspect the air gap when the sensors or rotors are
replaced (see page 10-28).

T1 SENSOR COUPLER
(GREEN)
If
there is no voltage, check the wiring harness for an
open circUit. Check for continuity between the sensor
negative 1-) terminal and the NO.3 ECU terminal; bet-
ween the positive
(+)
terminal and the No. 1 0 ECU ter-
minal.
Disconnect the coupler from the sensor and measure
voltage between the terminals. Voltage should be 4.75-
5.25 V with the ignition switch ON.

LED Inspection

With the sensor coupler disconnected, check for no con-
tinuity between the NO.1 0 ECU terminal and each of the
other termInals and ground. If there is continuity, check
the wiring harness for a short circuit.
Check the sensor coupler for poor contact at the ter-
minals. If the coupler is OK, check the sensor.
