Troubleshooting

Faulty Speedometer.
POWER TO SENSOR: Turn ignition ON.
Measure voltage between BltBr (+)
ana GiBI f-) terminals of meter white
13P coupler

Volts
WIRING: Disconnect meter white 13P
coupler. and check for continuity between
BI/Br and body ground on harness side
coupler
WIRING: Disconnect meter white 13P
coupler. and check for continuity between
BltBr and BI/Y terminals of harness side
coupler and sensor black 3P coupler.
Battery
Voltage
SENSOR SIGNAL: Measure voltage
between BIIY (+) and G/BI (-) terminals of
meter white 13P coupler. Rotate front
wheel Slowly High (above 3 5 V) and Low
(below 1.5 V) pulses should appear (ETC
must be connected).
Normal

Continuity
• Short circuit In
harness.
Normal
• Faulty sensor.
• Check for poor
contact at
meter coupler.
It it is OK.
meter is faulty.
No Continuity
• Faulty meter.
Abnormal
• Open or short circuit
in harness
• Poor contact at left
fairing coupler
or sensor coupler
