Evaporative Emission Control System (California Only)
FUEL TANK VENT HOSE
PURGE AIR HOSE
This motorcycle complies with California Air Resources Board requirements for evaporative emission regulations.
Fuel vapor from the fuel tank is routed into a charcoal canister where it is adsorbed and stored while the engine is
stopped. When the motorcycle is running and the purge control diaphragm valve

open, fuel vapor in the charcoal
canister is drawn Into the engine.
No adjustments to the evaporative emiSSion control system are necessary; however, periodic inspection of the hoses
and canister is recommended.
