5.11 SELECT: FAST

FAST:
Motherboard S/N 123456789
FAST (Fully Accessible System Topology) is the way to enable new options in the modem.
Obtain the FAST code for the new option from Comtech EF Data.
The options include:
•
Data Rate
•
Data Rate when configured for TPC/LDPC
•
Data Rate when configured for CnC
•
Open Network
•
Modulation:
o 8PSK/8QAM,
o 16QAM
•
Drop & Insert:
o 1-port (D&I)
o 4-port (Quad D&I)
•
L-band
Select FAST options menu or the the Demo-Mode menu using

There are three separate registers assigned for FAST options. Each one will have its own code for
unlocking the FAST features. Using
► arrow keys.
The FAST options are accessed via three separate internal EEPROM registers using three
individual FAST unlock codes. It is important to use the appropriate FAST unlock code for the
appropriate register.
Register 1 contains the lockdown for:

TPC/LDPC data rate
•
CnC (DoubleTalk
•
Two future options
